Quality control issues

The goals of our approach are to develop and characterize analytical methods, and then to develop applications for them in the form of quality control tests for vector batches.

The purposes of the principal specific tests for the vectors are:

  • to determine the titers of the batches (physical particles/viral genomes and infections genomes);
  • to check for the absence of replication-competent viruses;
  • to check for the absence of specific contaminating biological materials (plasmids, cells, etc.) which are used in the production process.
